You might have some inquiries concerning electric vehicles and charging stations. Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions about EVs and charging:

How does the free trial work?

All you need to do is sign up at evcs.com/register, and you'll enjoy 30 days of unlimited EVCS charging up to 40 kW (~150 miles). Upon exceeding 40 kW, you will be charged $0.29/kWh. After the trial ends, the membership price is $9.99/month (the 40 kW included charging refreshes each month).

What EV’s does EVCS support?

EVCS chargers support all EVs on the road. For Teslas, we have retrofitted 21 locations with adapters. Please check the EVCS app to see if the necessary charging connector or adapter is available at your desired EVCS location. Tesla EVs do need the necessary CCS, CHAdeMO or J1772 adapter to be able to charge at non-retrofitted EVCS chargers.

How fast do your stations charge?

In 30 minutes, vehicles can charge on average 120 miles using a EVCS’ 50 kW DC Fast Chargers and 8-12 miles using a Level 2 charger.

How do you use an EVCS charging station?

Use the station finder to locate your nearest EVCS location.
Select your plan, create an account and start your free trial.
Download the EVCS app (iOS App Store + Google Play).
Note: Remember to sign in on the app using the same credentials used on evcs.com.

At an EVCS station, open the app, and scan the QR code located on the charger.
Connect the charger to the vehicle.
Select "Start Charging" on the app.‍
Note: On Tritium, you need to push the "Start Charging" on the charger to initiate charge.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You may cancel your free trial anytime at evcs.com/account or by clicking "subscription plan" in the menu of the EVCS app. Upon cancellation, you will lose your EVCS plan entitlement and no longer have access to plan benefits.

Is the EVCS network expanding?

Yes! We are rapidly expanding with plans to more than double our network footprint to nearly 1,500 chargers by the end of 2023. We will be expanding into 35+ new cities and increasing charger density in the 60+ cities we are already in. See evcs.com/find-a-charger for locations coming soon!
